grinch for a day - a feb 14 post
being a self-proclaimed 'grinch of va-len-tines day'--> seriously why should the day even be celebrated?! i mean, it's not even a holiday. get my point?
ANYWAY...as i was saying, being an anti-celebrating-not-even-a-holiday-day-person (labo) i find it odd that i started the day by listening to tracks from the album 'completely' and then mariah's old tracks (dreamlover anyone?!) and probably end it listening to these songs all over again. :)
what's the point of this post? absolutely nothing! it's a pointless post, posted on this pointless day! hahaha i really have no idea what i'm saying. i'm not even bitter about this day. i just think that it's only what it is because of the power of commercialism. what's wrong with commercialism?! absolutely nothing! :) i'm just not a fan of a day I can't relate to...and even if i ever did (since i have had related to it), i never believed in celebrating this commercialized day anyway. :) ah hahaha round and round the merry go round--- use your brains if you want to understand what i'm saying ;)
ANYWAY instead of expressing angst or pointless thoughts here, what i will do is blog about holding hands. :) a few weeks ago, i was stuck at greenbelt waiting for my ride...and this is what i saw
note: to my friend who i read wrote 'scared' instead of 'sacred' again, my apologies :) yes holding hands is sacred to some degree
Holding hands couple #1
A young couple on probably their first 'official' date. The girl had a flower in hand and her little purse. the boy was holding her hand while they were walking. boy with a sheepish look on their face. :) hehehe
- i was imagining what would have happened if a family friend of the girl encountered them...they would have broke of the holding hands session and dropped the flower. hahaha ok bad! what in the world was i thinking?! but ofcourse they'd get the usual "Hija, where is so-and-so, who are you with Hija?!" ok again...what was i thinking?!
FLASHBACK
I remember being in highschool and hanging out at the village park with this guy who meant a lot to me at that time. I would get so nervous that the family car would pass the park and spot me with him. We weren't doing anything but talk, but still...the fear of being caught alone with a boy kept on hovering around me. hahaha It was fun though! like an adventure everytime he would visit me. We'd hide at the back of the park. anyway...this story ENDS here
Holding Hands couple #2
I was taking the escalator to the Cinemas and there was a foreign couple in front of me. I thought that they were holding hands because they feared they would lose balance but they got to the top (as i had) and they didn't let go. It's so nice how a couple would spend so many years together and travel the world, with each other. hay!
My Cry Cry story
I don't think anyone I've ever really cared about held my hand long enough to want to spend a lifetime with me, what more travel with me right? ok, drama ENDS here
Holding Hands couple #3
Another old couple sat at a nearby table and well, the lola (wife of the lolo hahaha!) bought the lolo icecream (which she had the ladies at chimara reserve for them-nax!). They were eating ice cream and talking about how good it tasted etc WELL, it was a cute scene-a hallmark picture perfect scene. Then they went their way...to watch a film - aww how cute
ok enough of that! :)
so i've been masungit the whole day...until 3 text messages:
I received a happy greeting from someone i least expected one from. Yup he doesn't seem the type who even celebrates the season so...that was a pleasant surprise- thank you!
A funny greeting from joy - 'ah hahaha!' ok that is my reply
and well...ok :)
so end of post. have a pleasant day everyone! i am off to where i am supposed to be off to...grr! the heck am i saying?!
ok so after this post i shouldn't be 'masungit' anymore...i mean hey, i've got my crush balladeer singing to me via my ipod (OK OK so he's not really singing to me...hey a girl can dream right?! sheesh! leave me be! :P
cheeze!
