what's sad is true
on my way to work, i saw this cute white furry dog. to describe her i would say that gathering from the way i saw her, she's old, dirty, and tired. she had a long chain still connected to her neck...probably a chain that used to be stuck to a wall perhaps. she looked tired, hungry, lost, but finally free. watching her standing at the side walk, all weak in the knees debating to herself whether she we cross the street or not, i found myself debating to myself whether i should adopt her or not. she took a step off the sidewalk and when she realized no one was going to harm her, she finally walked faster....she's free. but as the red light turned green and the cars started moving, i found my heart stuck at the moment when i was watching her.all throughout the ride to work, i was thinking about her, i had questions floating about...whilst being fully aware that no one will be able to answer them...
questions like:
was she happy when she was still a puppy?
was she ever happy?
does she know...who she is? ...what she is? ...where she is from? ...where she is headed?
did anyone ever take care of her? does she know that she is capable of being loved? or that it is okay to love?
if anyone saw her, will they see pass the age and take her home to feed her and clean her up?
is she free because she wants to see the world and experience living without fear before she leaves this planet called earth?
i know, you may think it is silly that after months of not posting a single thing here, i would go on and on about a dog i saw. well think what you want to think then :) i don't mind! did i ever? hehehe
many of you are moved by love stories of a boy meeting a girl and the likes of that. i won't deny the fact that stories such as those would put a smile on my face...and well sometimes true stories (like that of JM Barrie 'finding neveland') was able to make me cry. to be honest with you, i found myself working up a good cry on true stories like about the seal named andre' or about the documentary on panda bears...well yeah whatever works for you right? :)
i'll end this here!
laterz!
